Objective
Provide a strong foundation of nutritional concepts linked to the anatomy and physiology of the digestive system, the utilization of energy, protein and amino acids, fiber, calcium, phosphorus, and other dietary nutrients, with a focus on research techniques in poultry nutrition and the application of innovative technologies.
Content
1.Anatomy of the avian digestive system; 2. Physiology of the avian digestive system; 3. Concepts of energy and bioenergetics; 4. Energy from food: metabolism trials and determination of metabolizable energy; 5. Energy requirements of birds: research methods for determination; 6. Concepts in poultry protein nutrition; 7. Amino acid metabolism; 8. Vitamins and minerals in poultry nutrition; 9. Feed formulation and nutritional programs.
