Objective
The objective of this course is to enable the sudents to understand the basic concepts of nutrigenomics
in order to develop the abilities to work in this developing branch of science.

Content
1. Introduction and definition of nutrigenomics and nutrigenetics. 2. Control of gene expression. 3. RNA
extraction and quantitative RT-PCR. 4. Quantitative RT-PCR data analysis. 5. Discussion of articles
involving nutrigenomics and qRT-PCR. 6. New generation sequencing and RNAseq. 7. Introdcution of
RNAseq data analysis. 8. Article discussion in nutrigenomics using RNAseq. 9. Introduction of
epigenetics. 10. Metodology for the study of epigeneics. 11. Article discussion in nutrigenomcis and
epigenetics 12. Microbiome. 13. Methodology for the study of microbiome. 14. Article discussion in
nutrigenomics and microbiome. 15. Integration of knwoledge in nutrigenomics.
