Objective
The objective of this course is to provide opportunity for deeper discussions and atualization regarding important topics related to forage plants and the grassland ecosystem.
Content
The content includes emerging topics in the area of forage plants and the grassland ecosystem, such as: 1) Ecophysiology of forage plants. 2) Grazing ecology. 3) Mineral nutrition of forage crops. 4) Biogeochemical cycles and gas fluxes in the pasture ecosystem. 5) Strategies for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. 6) Integrated animal production systems. 7) Implications for the purposes of preparing and formulating hypotheses and planning experiments with forage plants and pastures. 8) Plant growth modeling.
