Objective
The course aims to explore the contemporary international scenario, seeking to explain its repercussions
on Democracy and environmental issues, with particular emphasis on the Brazilian context. In reality, it
is about providing students with the opportunity to inform themselves, debate, and formulate a critical
analysis of contemporary reality, seeking to achieve a deeper understanding of the disputes, risks, and
possibilities of the present moment.
To achieve the proposed objectives, we will adopt analyses that enable the students to understand the
current situation from the perspective of hybrid wars or fourth-generation wars, their strategies, tactics,
and technological and social instruments, but we will focus primarily on their repercussions on Brazilian
democracy and national environmental issues.

instruments in hybrid wars; 3) The unipolar proposal and the multipolar proposal; 3) Democracy in the
current context; 4) Climate change and international cooperation; 5) Other environmental issues and
international cooperation; 6) Agriculture and livestock farming in the face of technological and social
transitions; 7) International organizations, Democracy, and environmental issues in the context of
hybrid wars; 8) Social movements in the context of hybrid wars; 9) Semantic wars in the Global South;
10) NGOs and hybrid wars.
