Objective
To provide current and specialized information in the field of postharvest technology of horticultural
products for graduate students. To qualify researchers in postharvest technology area arousing interest
in the development and application of technologies that extend the shelflife of horticultural products.

Content
I- Postharvest technology overview. II- Quality parameters in fruits and vegetables and methods of
analysis. III- Harvesting, processing, classification and standardization of fruits and vegetables. IV -
Temperature control: cooling and cold storage. V- Controlled and modified atmospheres. VI-Emerging
technologies for fruit and vegetable conservation. VII - Fresh cut of fruits and vegetables. VIIIPostharvest
of flowers.
