Objective
To enable students to design and publish scientific research in Crop Science. To develop skills in literature search and critical analysis, experimental planning, data and bibliometric analysis, and scientific writing with a focus on objectivity and precision. To promote the appropriate use of artificial intelligence tools and scientific databases. To encourage the overcoming of common publication barriers and the strategic use of editorial opportunities, aiming at the qualified integration of students into the scientific community.

Content
Foundations of scientific research applied to Crop Science, with emphasis on the generation of publishable knowledge. Stages of experimental planning and design, prioritizing approaches that enhance methodological clarity and editorial acceptance. Strategies for searching and selecting scientific literature in databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. Bibliometric analysis for identifying target journals and evaluating editorial trends. Ethics in research and publication. Use of artificial intelligence in writing and data analysis: potential, limitations, and ethical implications. Efficient structuring of scientific articles according to journal guidelines. Preparation of figures with editorial quality, meeting the requirements of scientific journals. Main types of scientific articles: original papers, reviews, and short communications, with specific guidance for each format. Development of objectivity and precision in each section of the article, aiming to maximize the efficiency of the writing and submission process. Use of digital tools that contribute to the efficiency of writing, text revision, and reference management. Overcoming common difficulties in scientific publishing, including rejections and resubmissions. Strategies for appropriate journal selection, considering scope, editorial policy, and indexing. Discussion on the use of preprints as a means of initial dissemination of results and their acceptance by scientific journals.
