The Office of International Affairs, a branch of the Cultural and Extension Service of ESALQ Dean’s Office, targets the development and coordination of international contacts between ESALQ and foreign counterparts. The Section fosters faculty and student’s international interchange programs for improvement of scientific skills and academic qualifications. SCAInt also hosts and support visiting foreign faculty, students, and representatives of overseas colleges and institutions.

SCAInt was created in 1994 by initiative of ESALQ Dean’s Office, initially as an Office for International Activities. Prof. Zilmar Ziller Marcos and Prof. Marcos Milan were the first office coordinators. In 2004, an eight faculty member-Committee of International Activities was appointed to coordinate SCAInt activities.
