Árvore da família Icacinaceae, da espécie Poraqueiba sericea Tul. (Poraqueiba acuminata Miers).

Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa das florestas do Pará e da Amazônia alta (Brasil, Colômbia e Peru). Ela pode atingir de 10-18 m de altura. Os ramos são cilíndricos. A copa é ampla, casca rugosa e as folhas são alternas, simples, inteiras, de 25 cm de comprimento x 10-15 cm de largura, face superior verde-escura e a inferior amarelada com nervuras salientes e pubescentes. As flores são pequenas, brancas e hermafroditas. O fruto é drupa oblíqua com uma carena de alto a baixo, oval, amarela ou roxo quase preto e medem 3-4 cm de comprimento x 2-3,5 cm de largura com polpa amarela também, comestível, oleosa, enjoativa, que envolve um caroço grande, branco recoberto de lanugem fina.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of Pará and high Amazonia (Brazil, Colombia and Peru). It can reach from 10-18 m of height. Its branches are cylindrical. Its canopy is ample, wrinkled bark. Its leaves are altered, simple, and whole, of 25 cm of length x 10-15 cm of width, dark green superior face and the inferior one is yellowish with prominent and pubescent wrinkles. Its flowers are small, white and hermaphrodite. Its fruits are obliquus drupes with a from the top to the bottom, oval, yellow or purple almost black, measuring 3-4 cm of  length x 2-3.5 cm of width with a yellow pulp too, edible, oily, cloying, which has a big white pitch covered with thin hair.
