Objective
1. Expose and discuss topics related to studies involving abiotic stress in land plants and macroalgae. 2. Diversify and update the knowledge of graduate students in areas related to their research projects. 3. Develop the ability to write a research project (IC, MS, or DR) involving abiotic stress in land plants or macroalgae through the critical analysis of proposals, enabling the exchange of experiences and knowledge.

Content
1. Emergence of aerobic life and its relationship with photosynthetic organisms. 2. Concepts of stress, tolerance, resistance, resilience, and acclimation/adaptation. 3. Abiotic stressors in the terrestrial and marine environment. 4. Climate change and oxidative stress. 5. Oxidative stress, pro-oxidant/antioxidant balance. 6. Physiological and molecular responses under abiotic stress situations. 7. Descriptors and techniques for studying oxidative stress. 8. Preparation of a research project focuses on physiology of stress.
