Doctor’s degree

• 32 coursework credits (each credit is equivalent to 15 hours) and 192 thesis credits
• Approval in the Qualifying Exam
• Completion of all requirements and thesis deposit within 56 months of initial registration in the graduate program
• A thesis supervised by the academic Advisor to be defended in a final oral examination by an Examination Committee

Doctor’s degree (Direct Doctorate)

• 48 coursework credits (each credit is equivalent to 15 hours) and 192 thesis credits
• Approval in the Qualifying Exam
• Completion of all requirements and thesis deposit within 68 months of initial registration in the graduate program
• A thesis supervised by the academic Advisor to be defended in a final oral examination by an Examination Committee
