Objective
a) provide basic concepts of GIS, including spatial structure of geodatabase, map projections, coordinate systems, remote sensing and global position systems; b) instruct students to create cartographic databses using image interpretation and GPS surveys; c) demonstrate how geospatial technology could be used for natural resources management; d) make pratical assessments to support the aplication of GIS tecnology on research projects of students.
