Nota 1 e 2: Frequente nos estados do Rio de Janeiro e Bahia. Fruto drupa oval-arredondada, grande, carnosa, comestível, mas de modesto sabor.

A shrub of the family Hippocrateaceae, of the species Salacia brachyopoda Peyr (Tontelea brachyopoda Miers).

Note 1 and 2: It is more frequentlly found in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Bahia. It has a big oval fleshy drupe fruit with poor taste.
