Árvore da família Lauracaceae, da espécie Nectandra robusta Loef. & Eve.
Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre em São Paulo, Paraná e no Mato Grosso do Sul; O fuste atinge excepcionalmente 25 m de altura e 2 m de diâmetro, mas geralmente menos da metade; fornece madeira branco-suja ou amarelo-clara, tornando-se depois pardo-amarelada, recebe bem o verniz, portanto é própria para carpintaria, tabuado de forro e outras obras internas.

Note 1 and 2: It occurs in São Paulo, Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul states; Its trunk can reach exceptionally 25 m high and 2 m of diameter, but generally less than half; It provides dirty-white or light-yellow wood, becoming dusky-yellow afterwards; It accepts the varnish well, therefore it is appropriated to carpentry, wood ceilings and other internal woodworking.
