PITANGA-MIÚDA
Arbusto da família Myrtaceae, da espécie Myrcia rubella Camb. (M. rubella Berg., Aulomyrcia rubella Berg.).
Nota 1 e 2: É nativa das matas do Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais e Goiás. É pequeno, empregado até como cerca viva. As folhas são opostas, elípticas, curtopecioladas, glabras e aromáticas. As flores brancas são agrupadas em panículas axilares. Fruto baga muito pequena, amarelo-avermelhado, perfumado e saboroso.

Note 1 and 2: It is native from the woods of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Goiás states. It is small, but it can be even used as living fence. The leaves are opposites, elliptical, little petiolate, glabrous and aromatic. The white flowers are grouped in axillary panicles. Its berry fruit is very small, yellow-reddish, perfumed and tasty.
