Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre nas formações campestres, de Minas Gerais até o Rio de Grande do Sul. Folhas pecioladas, cartáceas, oval-oblongas, glabras, reticulado-nervadas, brilhantes na face dorsal. Fruto baga globosa, comestível, masde insignificante valor frutícola.

A shrub of the family Myrtaceae, of the species Eugenia pantagensis Berg.
Note 1 and 2: It occurs in the rural formations, of Minas Gerais to Rio de Grande do Sul state. It has petiolate leaves, papery, oval-oblong, glabrous, ribbed reticulated ones, bright in the dorsal side. Rounded and edible berry fruits, but of insignificant market value.
