PINDAÚNA
Árvore da família Annonaceae, da espécie Duguetia bracteosa Mart. (Trigyneia mathewsii Benth., Uvaria sessilis Vell.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa da Bahia, mas abundante em São Paulo. Possui folhas inteiras, alternas, 10-17 cm x 2,5-6 cm. Seu fruto é pequeno, globoso, de 2,5-3 cm de diâmetro, de magnífica cor carmim, que empresta à planta aspecto decorativo. As sementes estão envolvidas por polpa escassa, branca, adocicada, precariamente comestível.

Note 1 and 2: It is from Bahia, but abundant in São Paulo state. Its leaves are complete, alternate, 10-17 cm long x 2.5-6 cm long. Its fruit is little, rounded, with 2.5-3 cm of diameter, carmine color one that gives the plant a decorative aspect. The seeds are wrapped by a thin white pulp which is sweet and a little edible.
