Planta da família Acanthaceae, da espécie Peristrophe angustifolia Nees.
Nota 1 e 2: É originária de Java. Ela é herbácea, perene, ereta, muito ramificada. Possui 20-40 cm de altura e de folhagem decorativa densa. Folhas lanceoladas pequenas, pontiagudas, verde-claras e persistentes. Inflorescências terminais curtas, disfarçadas entre a folhagem, com flores pequenas, esparsas, cor-de-rosa e de importância secundária. Cultivada em vasos e mais frequentemente em canteiros à meia-sombra, formando conjuntos densos. Multiplica-se facilmente por estacas quando cortadas no final do inverno e por divisão de plantas.

Note 1 and 2: It is from Java. It is herbaceous, perennial, erect and very branchy. Itis 20-40 cm high, with a dense and decorative foliage. Small lanceolate leaves, edged, light green and persistent. Short terminal inflorescences, masked among the foliage, with small flowers, spare and pink ones, ofa secondary importance. It is cultivated in vases and more frequently, in seedbeds in half shade, making dense groups. It reproduces by stakes when cut off in the end of the winter and by plant division.
