Árvore da família Gutiferae, da espécie Rheedia brasiliensis Pl. & Tr.
Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre no Rio de Janeiro. É elegante, de forma piramidal, da qual se aproveita madeira de pequenas dimensões em marcenaria e carpintaria; folhas pecioladas, grandes, coriáceas, brilhantes na face superior; flores numerosas formando fascículos axilares; fruto amarelo, pequeno e ácido. Suas cascas são usadas em curtumes.

Note 1 and 2: It is from Rio de Janeiro state. It is elegant, with pyramidal shape, from which its wood of small dimensions is used in woodworking and carpentry; petiolate leaves, big, coriaceous, bright on the upper side; numerous flowers producing axillary fascicles; yellow, small and acid fruit. The fruit peels are used in the tannery process.
