Trepadeira da família Compositae, da espécie Senecio macroglossus DC.
Nota 1 e 2: De origem sul-africana. Herbácea escandente, moderada, com aspecto suculento, ramificada, com folhas triangulares, carnosas, semelhantes às de hera. A mais cultivada é a variegada com folhas verdes e margens branco-amareladas, de maior efeito ornamental. Inflorescências ramificadas com flores pequenas em capítulos brancos, formadas eventualmente. É cultivada a meia-sombra, geralmente em vasos como trepadeira. É tolerante ao frio e pouco exigente em água. Multiplica-se facilmente por estacas, principalmente se cortadas no final do inverno.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of South Africa. It is ascendant, herbaceous, moderate, with juicy aspect, branched, triangular leaves, fleshy, similar to ivy. The most common one is the variegated with green leaves and white-yellowish borders, mostly ornamental. It has branched inflorescences with small flowers on white pseudo stems that are eventually formed. It is cultivated on half shade, usually on vases such as a climbing plant. It bears cold weather and it does not require much watering. It multiples easily by using stakes, especially if pruned by the end of the winter.
