Planta ornamental da família Compositae, da espécie Helipterum manglesii F. Muell (Rhodanthe manglessi Lindley).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é procedente da Austrália, e há muito tempo cultivada em São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro. Ela é anual, caule dotado de ramificações frágeis, eretas, de até 35 cm de altura. As folhas são amplexicaules, alternas, ovado-lanceoladas ou oblongo-obtusas, verde-escuras e lisas. As flores são longopecioladas, de início pêndulas, eretas ao desabrocharem, formando capítulos, as brácteas inferiores são branco-cetim e as superiores róseas e disco amarelo-ouro.
An ornamental plant of the family Compositae, of the species Helipterum manglesii F. Muell (Rhodanthe manglessi Lindley).
Note 1 and 2: It is from Australia and has been cropped in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro States for years. It is annual, fragile ramified stems of 35 cm of height. Its leaves involve the stems, which are alternate, lanceolate oval or obtuse oblong, dark green and smooth. Its flowers are long petiolate, when young are bent, but straight when blossoming forming chapters. The inferior bracts are white cetin and the superior ones pink with a golden yellow disk.
