Trepadeira ornamental da família Convolulaceae, da espécie Ipomoea glaziowii Damm.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é parte integrante da flora da Bahia. Ela é vigorosa, lactescente, atingindo 30 m ou mais, com seus sarmentos grossos e muito fortes. As folhas são orbiculares, longopecioladas, de 20 cm de diâmetro, 7-digitadas. Inflorescência axilar, pauciflora. As flores são amarelas de corola funiliforme, quando secas se tornam rijas, duras como pau ou couro. Elas se abrem pela manhã e murcham ao cair da tarde, derrubando as corolas. Outras flores surgem em grande abundância, apresentando-se sempre florida.
An ornamental climbing plant of the family Convolulaceae, of the species Ipomoea glaziowii Damm.
Note 1 and 2: It is part of the flora of Bahia state. It is vigorous, latescent, reaching 35 m or more with its thick and very strong branches. Its leaves are orbicular, long petiolate, of 20 cm of diameter, and 7-digitated. Its inflorescence is axillar and pauciflora. Its flowers are yellow of funnel form corolla, which becomes hard as wood or lather when dry. They open in the morning and wither in the evening, dropping its corollas. Other flowers open in abundance, being always flowered.
