GUABIROBA-DE-CACHORRO
Árvore mediana da família Myrtaceae, da espécie Abbevillea guabiroba Berg. (Campomanesia guaviroba Benth. & Hook; Psidium canium Mart.; Psidium guaviroba DC.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela ocorre de Pernambuco a São Paulo. Ela pode atingir até 12 m de altura, brotação avermelhado-pubescente, flores solitárias em pedúnculos opostos, axilares. O fruto baga globosa, de 2-3 cm de diâmetro, de coloração amarelo-alaranjada. Tem raízes e folhas tidas como medicinais, contra males do fígado e anti-reumáticas.

Note 1 and 2: It is widespread from Pernambuco to São Paulo states. It can reach until 12 m of height, red pubescent stems, single flowers in opposite and axillar peduncles. Its fruits are globous, of 2-3 cm of diameter, of yellow to orange color. Its roots and leaves have medicinal properties against liver and anti-rheumatic diseases.
