GUAIULE
Arbusto da família Compositae, da espécie Parthenium argentatum Gray.
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é espontâneo nos planaltos secos que se estendem do norte do México ao sudoeste do Texas (EUA) e introduzida no Nordeste do Brasil, pois adequa-se ao cultivo no semiárido. Ele pode alcançar de 60-100 cm de altura, perene, com vida ao natural superior a 30 anos e de notável resistência à seca. Ele é grande produtor de borracha natural, sintetizada e acumulada no interior das células do parênquima.

Note 1 and 2: It is spontaneous in the dry plateaus, which extend from the north of Mexico until the southeast of Texas (USA) and introduced in the northeast of Brazil, due to the semi-arid crop conditions there. It can reach from 60-100 cm of height, perennial, with a lifespan of more than 30 years old and high resistance to droughts. It is a great producer of natural rubber, which is synthetized and accumulated in the parenchyma inner cells.
