ARAÇÁ-BOI
Planta arbustiva da família Myrtaceae, de espécie Eugenia stipitata Mc Vaugh.
Nota 1 e 2: Originária da Amazônia peruana e espontânea nos roçados e capoeiras do Amazonas e do Pará, de 3 m de altura no máximo. O fruto baga ovóide, amarelo, contendo polpa suculenta de saborosa acidez, envolvendo 6-15 sementes, e muito rico em vitaminas C e B1. Serve, ainda para preparo de sucos, doces, batidas, cremes e sorvetes.

Note 1 and 2: It is from the Peruvian Amazonia and spontaneously found in the brushwoods and fields of the states of Amazonas and Pará. It can reach 3 m of height at most. The fruit is a round yellow berry that contains a juicy bitter pulp with 6 to 15 seeds. It is very rich in vitamins C and B1. It is also used to make juices, sweets, cocktail drinks, cream and icecream.
