GUAPURUVU
Árvore da família Leguminosae, da espécie Schizolobium parahyba (Vell.) Blake.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela faz parte da flora dos estados do Centro e do Sudeste do Brasil. Ela magnífica, podendo atingir de 20-30 m de altura e 0,60-0,80 m de diâmetro, caule retilíneo, alimpado, liso e imponente. Os frutos são legumes chatos, deiscentes, com uma só semente lisa, grande e córnea que serve para jogos.
A tree of the family Leguminosae, of the species Schizolobium parahyba (Vell.) Blake.
Note 1 and 2: It is part of the flora of the center and southeast states of Brazil. It is magnificent, reaching approximately 20-30 m of height and 0.60-.80 m of diameter. Its trunk is rectilinear, leafless, flat and imposing. Its fruits are flat and dehiscent pods, with only one big flat and corneous seed, which is used for games.
