Trepadeira ornamental da família Araceae, da espécie Philodendron bipinnatifidum Schott. (Arum pinnatifidum Vell., Philodendron lundii Warm., Arum arborescens Vell., Philodendron imbe Schott.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre no nordeste brasileiro, mas também é muito conhecida em outros estados do Centro e Sul, tento hábitos terrestres como arborícolas. Caracteriza-se pelo tronco coberto das cicatrizes deixadas pelas folhas caducas, emitindo raízes adventícias nos nós que atingem muitos metros de comprimento até encontrarem a terra. Têm limbo cordiforme medindo até 80 cm de comprimento por 60 cm de largura, glabras, lustrosas na face superior e opacas na inferior. A inflorescência em espádice protegido por espata oval-oblonga, coriácea, esverdeada ou um tanto pardacenta com flores monoicas.

Note 1 and 2: It occurs in the northeast region of Brazil, but it can also be found in the states of Central and South. It can be terrestrial or arboreal. Its trunk is covered with scars made by the deciduous leaves which develop adventitious roots on the knots reaching length of meters to reach the ground. Its heart-shaped limbo measuring until 80 cm of length x 60 cm of width, glabrous, shinning on the superior face and opaque in the inferior. Its inflorescence is in a spadix protected by oval and oblong sheath, coriaceous, greenish or rather brownish with monoecious flowers.
