ARATICUM-DO-BREJO
Planta arbustiva da família Annonaceae, espécie Annona glabra L. (A . australis St. Hill., A. chrysocarpa Lepr., A. klainii Pier., A. laurifolia Dun., A. palustris L., A .peruviana H.B.K., A . pisonis St. Hill., A. reticulata Vell., A. uliginosa H.B.K., Guanabanus palustris Gomez, Porcelia parviflora Pers.).
Nota 2: Tamanho e feição de marmeleiro, cresce nos alagadiços onde água doce se junta com a salgada, eos frutos são do tamanho de um marmelo, lavrados pela casca, como pinha, e muito lisos, os quais racham quando maduros e cheiram muito bem.

Note 2: It is of the same size and similar to a quince tree. It grows in marshes where the river water meets the sea water. The fruits have the same size of a quince and the skin is carved like the skin of a pine cone. They are very smooth and split when ripen releasing a very good smell. Vulgarization: alligator apple.
