ÁRVORE-DE-LÃ
Árvore frutífera da família Bombacaceae, espécie Cavanillesia K. Schum.
Nota 1 e 2: Nativa do Brasil, ocorrendo do Piauí à Bahia, e preferência em terras altas e secas. Fruto tipo cápsula, púrpureo, de 20 cm de comprimento com sementes pequenas envoltas em filamentos brancos, que são usados para enchimento de colchõese travesseiros e para manufatura de barbantes, cobertores e papel.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of Brazil, occuring from the state of Piauí to Bahia state. It prefers high and dry lands. The fruit has a purple capsule of 20 cm of lenght with small See.ds wrapped in white filaments. They are used for filling up mattresses and pillows, and in thread, blanket and paper manufacturing.
