A shrubby tree of the family Guttiferae, of the species Rheedia Machado.
Note 1 and 2: It is native of the river banks of Araguaia and Tapirapés, in the central part of Brazil. Its fruits are yellow and edible. The carajás indians call the fruit and the plant of ru-uaré-nin.
