MANDRÁGORA
Nome de duas plantas da família Solanaceae, das espécies Mandragora officinarum L. e Atropa mandragora.
Nota 2: Não apresentam caules e suas folhas surgem do solo. As flores são de cores vivas e desabrocham no outono. São tóxicas, pois contêm, especialmente nas raízes, os alcalóides escopolamina e hioxiamina. Cultivadas por interesse folclórico (Itália e Espanha), na estrutura subterrânea (rizomas e raízes), exibem formas bizarras que se assemelham ao esqueleto humano.

Note 2: They do not present stems and their leaves grow from the ground. The flowers are bright colors and blossom in the autumn. They are toxic because they contain, especially in their roots, the alkaloids scopolamine and hyoscyamine. Cultivated for folklore interest (Italy and Spain), in the subterranean structure (rhizomes and roots), they exhibit bizarre shapes that resemble the human skeleton.
