Planta da família da Turneraceae, da espécie Turnera ulmifolia.
Nota 1 e 2: Desenvolve-se bem em regiões tropical e subtropical até mesmo como pasto para apiário, pois é considerada excelente melífera, rústica e medicinal. O chá de suas folhas tem efeitos contra albuminúria, sendo indicada no tratamento de diabete e como tônica e expectorante. Também é considerada ornamental, suas flores abertas podem alcançar 5 cm de diâmetro, de cor creme com o centro marrom.

Note 1 and 2: It develops well in tropical and subtropical regions as even as bee culture fields. It is considered an excellent melliferous, rustic and medicinal plant. Its leaf tea has effects against albuminuria, indicated for the diabetes treatment and as tonic and expectorant. It is also considered ornamental; its flowers can reach 5 cm of diameter, beige color with a brown center.
