Nota 1 e 2: Ela tolera solos pobres, mas exige que se lavre a terra em profundidade e se incorpore adubo bem curtido. A raiz é consumida cura ou cozida e devem ser colhidas o mais tarde possível, porque as maiores são mais saborosas. As folhas servem como condimento.
