Planta da família Compositae, da espécie Tragopogon porrifolium L.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela cresce bem em solos-arenosos, profundos, ricos em matéria orgânica e que retenham umidade. Ela é bienal ou perene, alcançando 1,20-1,35 m de altura, semelhante à cenoura e é muito saborosa. Multiplica-se por sementes, a lanço largo ou em linhas distanciadas 20 cm entre si. Durante a fase de crescimento, necessita de desbastes, regas e capinas. A colheita consiste no arranque da planta toda, eliminando-se as folhas e se inicia seis meses após o plantio, evitando a formação de inflorescências.

Note 1 and 2: It grows better in organic matter-rich deep sandy soils, which retain humidity. It is biennial or perennial, reaching 1.20-1.35 m of height, similar to a carrot and very tasty. Its multiplication is by seeds, at direct sowing or in 20 cm spaced lines. During its growth phase, it requires pruning, irrigation and trimming. Its harvest involves cutting the total plant, eliminating the leaves after 6 months of sowing, and never allowing the inflorescence growth.
