Arbusto da família Euphorbiaceae, da espécie Pedilanthus tithymaloides Poit.
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é nativo da Amazônia. Ele é leitoso de aspecto suculento. Pode atingir de 1,5-2,0 m de altura, com ramos carnosos e poucas folhas coriáceas, e suculentas. As flores são pequenas com envoltório vermelho em forma de sapato, em inflorescências terminais. Usado em cercas vivas, bordejando muros e paredes a pleno sol ou meia-sombra. É resistente em terras pobres, multiplicando-se por estacas.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of Amazonia. It is milky of juicy aspect. It can reach from 1.5-2.0 m of height, with fleshy branches and few juicy and coriaceous leaves. Its flowers are small with a red envelope in the shape of a shoe in terminal inflorescences. It is used for making green fences, walls for full sun or half-shadow. It is resistant to poor soils, multiplying itself by stakes.
