SAPUCAIA-DO-AMAPÁ
Árvore da família Lecythidaceae, da espécie Lecythis amapaiensis Ledoux.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é frequente no município de Mazagão, no Amapá. Ela pode atingir até 35 m de altura e 1 m de diâmetro, sem sapopemas, com grossas raízes superficiais alongadas. Suas sépalas são tomentosas e persistentes na região calicar, em forma de pontas lenhosas diminutas, botão floral purpúreo e pixídio globoso.
A tree of the family Lecythidaceae, of the species Lecythis amapaiensis Ledoux.
Note 1 and 2: It is frequent of the Manzagão municipality in the state of Amapá. It can reach until 35 m of height and 1 m of diameter, without buttresses, with thick superficial and elongated roots. Its sepals are tomentose and persistent in the trunk region as tiny woody edges, purple floral button and globous pixidio.
