Erva aromática da família Labiadae, da espécie Satureja hortenis L.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é originária da Europa. Apresenta ciclo anual, desenvolve-se bem em climas temperados, solos soltos e ricos em matéria orgânica. Multiplica-se por sementes distribuídas em linhas, distantes 30 cm entre si, formando filete contínuo. Durante seu ciclo vegetativo são necessários desbaste, irrigação e capinas. A colheita é feita quando atingem 10 cm de altura. Empregada em culinária e também como estimulante e antiespasmódica.
An aromatic herb of the family Labiadae, of the species Satureja hortenis L.
Note 1 and 2: It is from Europe. It has an annual cycle, developing itself in temperate climates, loose and organic matter rich soils. Its multiplication is by seeds distributed in rows, 30 cm distant from each other, making a continuous line. Pruning, irrigation and trimming are needed during its vegetative cycle. Harvest is done when the plants reach 10 cm high. It is used in culinary and as a stimulant and anti-spasmodic.
