Cultivar híbrido de Vitis vinifera (54,5%), Vitis rupestris (31,5%) e Vitis aestivalis (14%), resultante do cruzamento Seibel 5656 x Seibel 4986.
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é nativo da França. No Brasil, tem posição de destaque entre as uvas brancas comuns mais cultivadas e vivificadas no estado do Rio Grande do Sul. É de pouco vigor, portanto carece de fartas adubações anuais para atingir uma alta produção. As folhas são inteiras, lisas, verde-claras brilhantes, glabras nas duas faces com seio peciolar em lira fechada. Os cachos são médios e compactos, com bagas pequenas, redondas, amareladas na plena maturação, de polpa mucilaginosa de sabor característico.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of France. In Brazil, it has a high position among the white grapes most cropped and wined in Rio Grande do Sul state. It has little vigor, so it needs large annual fertilizations to reach a great productivity. Its leaves are whole, smooth, shining light green color, glabrous on both faces with a closed lira cut in the petiolar sinus. Its bunches are compact and medium size with small round and yellowed berries at total maturation and of a mucilaginous pulp and typical taste.
