A infusão feita com todas suas partes trituradas é indicada como cicatrizante, expectorante, anti-inflamatório. Seu chá é indicado no tratamento da diarreia de crianças novas, causada pela dentição. Para os adultos favorece o bom funcionamento dos aparelhos digestivo e renal.
