NOZ-ARGENTINA
Árvore da família Juglandacae, da espécie Juglans australis Griseb.
Nota 1 e 2: Originária das florestas argentinas de Tucuman, Salta e Jujuy, podendo ser encontrada esporadicamente no estado de São Paulo. Ela tem de porte médio, folhas alternas e imparipenadas, 7-11 folíolos ovais e glabros. As flores são verdes em amentos. Os frutos são ovoides, medindo 2-2,5 cm de diâmetro, de casca duríssima, pardo-escura. As sementes são comestíveis com sabor de noz europeia.

Note 1 and 2: It is from the Argentinian forests of Tucuman, Salta and Jujuy, it can be sporadically found in Brazil, in the state of São Paulo. It has medium size, alternate and impair pennate leaves with 7-11 oval and glabrous follicles. Its flowers are green in group arrangements. Its fruits are ovoid, measuring 2-2.5 cm of diameter, very hard brownish skin. Its seeds are edible having the same taste of European nuts.
