RABO-DE-ROJÃO
Planta daninha da família Compositae e da espécie Ambrosia polystachya D.C.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é infestante de pastagens, linhas de cerca e beiras de estradas. Em pastos mal manejados, chega a ser vegetação predominante. Ela é perene, subarbustiva, ereta, ramificada, caule lenhoso, pubescente, medindo 1,5 a 2,0 m de altura, com reprodução por sementes e vegetativamente por rizomas. Suas folhas são alternas, pecioladas, compostos, sendo as inferiores pinatífidas e as superiores somente pinadas, as terminais compridas e agudas. Inflorescência terminal, em forma de racemo de capítulos masculinos e femininos, com o eixo principal denso-pubescente, medindo 10-20 cm de comprimento. A operação da roçada geralmente aumenta a sua população, uma vez que cada planta cortada rebrota e forma uma touceira. Apesar do aroma forte, a planta é procurada pelo gado na falta de forragem.

Note 1 and 2: It is a harmful grazing infesting plant, fence lines and side roads. In bad handled grazing fields, it can be the predominant vegetation. It is perennial, sub-shrub, standing, ramified plant, woody stems, pubescent, and measuring 1.5 to 2.0 m height, with seed reproduction and vegetatively by rhizomes. Its leaves are alternate, petiolate, composed, with the inferior ones incisive and the superior ones just sharp, the final ones long and acute. Inflorescence in the shape of male and female sections, with the main axis dense-pubescent having 10-20 cm length. The cutting operation usually increases its population, since every time a plant is cut the plant regrows as a clump. Despite its strong aroma, the cattle pursues it when there is a shortage of the fodder.
