Palmeira da espécie Palmae, da espécie Raphia taedigera Mart.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa do Brasil. Ela tem folhas longas, com média de 15m de comprimento x 3,0 m de largura, penadas das quais se obtém excelente fibra. De cada palmeira nascem numerosos rebentos, que dão à planta decidido aspecto de multicaules, além do que cada planta floresce só uma veze, após, morre seu tronco principal, mas a sobrevivência da espécie é perpetuada pelos rebentões. De seus frutos se faz bebida vinosa, apreciada pelos africanos.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of Brazil. It has long leaves, which have an average of 15 m of length x 3.0 m of width. From its pending leaves, it can be obtained excellent fibers. From each palm tree, it comes out numerous sprouts, which gives the plant the aspect of a shrub shape, beyond that the plant blooms only once, afterwards, its main trunk dies, but the survival of the species is perpetuated by the sprouts. From the fruits, it can be obtained a vinous drink.
