Nome vulgar de vários arbustos da família Rubiaceae e das espécies Chicoca brachiata Ruiz et Pav., Clematis dioica.
Nota 2: Eles podem atingir até 3 m de altura, formam flores brancas, pequenas em cachos. O seu chá tem efeito vomitivo e purgativo. A indústria farmacêutica utiliza-os na fabricação e remédios para tratamento de hidropisia, ingurgitamento abdominal, asma bronquite, angina e febre catarral. Em alcoolatura, para uso externo, é usado contra reumatismo, paralisia e antiofídico.
