Nota 1 e 2: Ela é oriunda da Ásia tropical e naturalizada nas Américas. Ela é herbácea, rizomatosa, vigorosa, entouceirada, de 1,50-2,0 m de altura, com hastes eretas e folhas coriáceas alongadas, tomentosas, na face de baixo. Inflorescências terminais com flores brancas, grandes e perfurmadas, tida como ornamental. Devido ao seu crescimento agressivo, é tida também como invasora.

Note 1 and 2: It is from the Tropical Asia and adapted to Americas. It is herbaceous, ryzomatous, vigorous, stoned, of 1.50-2.0 m of height, with straight stems and alongated coriaceous and tomentous leaves on the inferior face. Its terminal inflorescences have big white and perfumed flowers, considered ornamental. Due to its agressive growth, it is also considered an invader.
