MANDAPUÇÁ-DA-FOLHA GRANDE
Arbusto da família Melastomataceae, da espécie Miconia macrophylla Triana (M. platihedra Naud., Chitonia macrophylla Don.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é de distribuição pan-americana, que vai do México às Antilhas até o Peru, Bolívia, Guianas e Amazônia brasileira. Ele pode atingir de 3-12 m de altura, os frutos são globosos, de 10-12 aristados, de coloração pardo-acinzentada, de 6 mm de diâmetro, e comestíveis.

Note 1 and 2: Its distribution is pan-american, going from Mexico to the Antilles until Peru, Bolívia, Guyanas and the Brazilian Amazonia. It can reach 3-12 m of height, its fruits are globose, of 10-12 aristates, of grayish brown color, of 6 mm of diameter and are edible.
