Nota 1 e 2: Ela é bastante frequente em solos arenosos ou de cerrados, nas regiões Centro e Sul do Brasil. Ela é anual, herbácea, ereta, ramificada na parte superior, caule alado e densamente lanuginoso, medindo 60-120 cm de altura, com reprodução por sementes. As folhas são alternas, inteiras, sésseis, lanceoladas de ápice acuminado, verde-escuras na face superior e brancacentas e lanuginosas na face inferior, medindo de 10-20 cm de comprimento e 2-5 cm de largura. As inflorescências são terminais, em espigas brancacentas e lanuginosas de 10-20 cm de comprimento, intercaladas por brácteas lineares.

Note 1 and 2: It is very often found in sandy soils or in the cerrados of the Central and South regions of Brazil. It is annual, herbaceous, erect, and branchy in the top, of a winged and dense lanuginose, measuring 60-120 cm of height and reproduction by seeds. Its leaves are alternate, whole, sessile, and lanceolate of acuminate apex, dark green color in the superior page and whitish in the inferior one, measuring 10-20 cm of length and 2-5 cm of width. Its inflorescences are terminal in whitish and lanuginose spikes of 10-20 cm of length, interspersed by linear bracts.
