Planta aromática da família Gramineae, da espécie Vetiveria zizanioides Stapf.
Nota 2: Ele é de clima tropical, com sistema radicular fasciculado, cujas raízes contêm óleo essencial semelhante ao aroma de madeiras orientais, muito utilizado em perfumaria. A obtenção do óleo é realizada por destilação das raízes secas em corrente de vapor sob pressão.

Note 2: It is from tropical climate with a fasciculate radicular system, whose roots have an essential oil similar to the scent of east woods, highly used in perfumery. The oil obtaining is carried out by dry root distillation in water vapor flow under pressure.
