Nota 1 e 2: Ela ocorre desde o México até o Brasil. É lenhoso, de 3-6 m de altura, de ramagem reclinada, com ou sem espinhos e folhas coriáceas e serrilhadas. Inflorescências recurvadas com muitas flores pequenas, azuladas ou brancas, na primavera e no verão. Os frutos são amarelos e apreciados por pássaros. Multiplica-se por sementes e estacas.
An ornamental shrub of the family Verbenaceae, of the species Duranta repens L.
Note 1 and 2: It occurs from Mexico until Brazil. It woody, of 3-6 m of height, of reclined branching with or without thorns, coriaceous, and teethed leaves. Its recurved inflorescences have small bluish and white flowers. Its fruits are yellow and well appreciated by birds. It multiplies itself by seeds and stakes.
