Planta daninha da família Compositae, da espécie Acanthospermum australe (Loefl.) O. Kuntze.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa de campos e cerrados, ela é rasteira e ocorre frequentemente em lavouras estabelecidas em áreas recém-desbravadas, tornando-se menos importante à medida que os solos forem corrigidos. Aparece também em pastagens em outros tipos de exploração, porém sua presença está ligada a baixos índices de fertilidade. Seus ramos e folhas são reputados como medicinais.

Note 1 and 2: It is native to fields and cerrados; it is creeping and frequently occurs in crops established in newly cleared areas, becoming less important as the soils are corrected. It also appears in pastures and in other kinds of exploration, but their presence is due to low fertility index. Its branches and leaves have a medicinal reputation.
