PAU-D’ALHO
Árvore da família Phytolacaceae, da espécie Gallesia Integrifolia (Spreng.) Harms. (G. gorazema (Vell.) Moq.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela habita nas matas de solo fértil dos estados da Bahia e do Centro-Sul e é consagrada como padrão de terra boa. É ramalhuda e frondosa que tresanda o alho, principalmente após as chuvas. Floresce ao longo dos meses fevereiro-abril, amadurecendo os frutos em setembro-outubro. A madeira é utilizada para tabuado em geral, sarrafos para construções temporárias, preparo de caixotarias e embalagens leves.

Note 1 and 2: It grows in bushes of fertile soil in Bahia State and in the South Center of Brazil and is established as a standard of good quality oil. It is dense with many branches, smells like garlic, especially after the rainfalls. It flourishes over the months February-April, ripping the fruits in September-October. The wood is used to make wooden floors in general, slats for temporary constructions, preparations to wooden crates and lightweight packaging.
