Nota 1 e 2: É nativa do Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo. Pode atingir até 6 m de altura, cujo fruto, apesar de ser polposo, não consta ser comestível. Das raízes que são amargas e têm forte cheiro, se fazem figas muito estimadas por serem usadas como artefatos contra mau-olhado.

A small Brazilian tree of the family Annonaceae, of species Annona acutiflora Mart.
Note 1 and 2: It is from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo states. It can reach up to 6m high, whose fruit, though to have fleshy pulp, is not considered edible. From its roots that are bitter and have a strong odor, very esteemed fig signs used against evil eyes can be made.
